IF, like me, you live in the Cotswolds and were looking forward to having Beyonce and Jay-Z as neighbours, well, I’ve got some bad news.
They’re no longer moving to the area.
According to the The Sun’s Bizarre column, the power couple have called off their plans to buy a £7.5million plot of land and build their dream house over flooding concerns.
The pair were said to be buying 58-acres just outside of Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.
Architects had drawn up plans for the couple’s dream mega mansion. But those plans have since been shredded.
“Beyonce and Jay-Z buying this plot of land was the talk of the Cotswolds,” a source told The Sun.
“So many locals were excited about them moving in.
“But the plan appears to have fallen through.
“The plot they were looking at has still not been sold and is now being developed by another couple.
“It’s a flood-prone area and that will definitely have put a dampener on proceedings — especially with all the rain we’ve had over the past month.”
Oh well! We’ve still got Ellen and Portia, Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman, David and Victoria… and even Donna Air pops up occasionally when the media’s in town.
