The former Real Housewives of New York City star shared on Instagram that the incident happened in the middle of filming a video.
According to Bethenny, she had been excited to test the product because it was marketed as helping contour the face and ease jaw pain. But the moment quickly turned alarming when she realized she was bleeding.
In the video, Bethenny reacted in shock as blood appeared on her face, later explaining that the tool was made of glass. She said the experience was “super scary” and noted that the injury could have been even worse.
In a caption, she reassured followers that she was OK, though understandably shaken by what happened.
Bethenny later thanked fans for their concern in a follow-up Instagram Story. She also alluded to dealing with personal challenges, though she did not go into detail.
The reality star has been candid in recent months about her health, including sharing that her chronic kidney disease has progressed to stage three.
She previously said doctors believe her kidneys may have been damaged following a severe anaphylactic allergy episode a few years ago.
