BENEDICT Cumberbatch found himself in a tense showdown with a fellow cyclist after allegedly running a red light in London last week.
The Doctor Strange star was caught on video abandoning his bike to confront the irate cyclist, who insisted, “I was behind you the entire time.”
The exchange quickly escalated with the man accusing Benedict of breaking the law multiple times, while the actor denied the claims and accused the cyclist of verbally abusing him.
The back-and-forth lasted around 10 minutes, with the cyclist calling Benedict “deluded” and “lying,” and the actor admitting he ran one red light but denying others.
An onlooker who recorded the incident described it as “such a pompous road rage it almost felt like it had been staged,” adding, “Benedict still managed to charm everyone watching even though he was having a meltdown.”
The heated dispute reportedly blocked the lane, causing a standstill for other road users, while schoolchildren nearby watched the drama unfold.
Despite the tension, Benedict took time to pose for photos with young fans once the cyclist left the scene.
A representative for the actor has yet to comment on the incident.
