ARIANA Grande and Ethan Slater reportedly came close to a major crossroads late last year, but they never officially split.
According to a source close to Grande’s family, the pair went through a difficult spell and there was real uncertainty over whether they would keep going as a couple.
That shaky period now appears to be behind them. The source said the two have put serious effort into the relationship and are currently in a much stronger place.
They were also said to have spent the holidays with Grande’s family, a sign that things had stabilized, according to the Daily Mail.
Slater was also seen supporting Grande during her Saturday Night Live commitments, even if the pair kept a relatively low public profile for much of 2025. Breakup rumors had swirled after they were rarely spotted together between April and November, before appearing together in cast photos at the New York premiere of Wicked: For Good.
Their relationship began after they met while filming Wicked in the UK in late 2022. Grande separated from Dalton Gomez in February 2023, according to court records, while Slater filed for divorce from Lilly Jay in July 2023. Slater and Jay share a son.
The couple have remained notably private, though fans recently got a small peek into their world through social media posts shared around Christmas.
Slater posted clips of Grande at a gathering with friends, and she reposted them with heart stickers — a subtle but clear sign that the two are still very much aligned.
