Angelina Jolie Stands Firm as Brad Pitt Pushes to Speed Up Chateau Trial

Key Points
- Brad sued in 2022 over Angelina’s alleged unauthorized sale of her Miraval stake.
- Pitt seeks an expedited trial, citing loss of enjoyment and aging or deceased witnesses.
- Jolie defends a September 2027 date, contests disruption claims; judge hasn't ruled on timing.
ANGELINA Jolie remains unshaken after Brad Pitt called for the court case over their French Chateau Miraval to be fast-tracked.
The legal tussle began in 2022 when Brad sued Angelina, accusing her of selling her stake in the $164 million estate without his consent.
Brad claims the new owner is hostile and harming the wine business he helped build, while Angelina insists she was within her rights to sell.
Recently, Brad argued the trial should happen sooner, saying he’s been denied the peaceful enjoyment of his French home.
He also noted witnesses are aging, with some having passed away, and highlighted that one of Angelina’s lawyers qualified back in 1972.
Angelina, however, calls a September 2027 trial date perfectly reasonable and says Brad hasn’t proved his enjoyment of Miraval has been disrupted, TMZ reports.
She also dismissed Brad’s concerns about the Jewish High Holidays interfering with a later trial, pointing out he hasn’t named any affected lawyers.
The judge has yet to decide on the trial timing, leaving the drawn-out dispute far from over.
